To keep the interests of businesses at the forefront of the healthcare reform discussion, the Chamber has formed a series of recommendations based on its analysis of H.R. 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, and the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, & Pension (HELP) proposals. 

While we agree with some of the concepts in both bills, such as promoting wellness and prevention in the workplace, establishing performance measures, and creation of an insurance exchange for small employers and consumers, the Chamber is opposed to the public plan (option) provision in H.R. 3200.  Read more

Business-friendly healthcare reform legislation is just one of the hot topics delegates will bring to the table during the Chamber’s third annual "One Region, One Voice" mission to Washington, D.C., Sunday, September 20 to Wednesday, September 23.  We have a jam-packed itinerary of meetings and functions with high-level Administration officials, Congressional leaders and others.

Business After Five Mixer - Wednesday , September 16

The September mixer will be hosted by Casa de Reyes in the newly reopened Fiesta de Reyes plaza within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Come check it out! Plus, mix and mingle with at least 250 Chamber members while enjoying drinks and hors d'oeuvres.


One Region, One Voice, Mission to Washington DC - September 20-23

Join us as we strive for the betterment of our region on this very important visit to our Nation's Capitol. The One Region One Voice Washington D.C. Delegation is a rare opportunity for San Diego’s business leaders to personally engage federal officials on issues of importance to our region.

Business Exchange- October 21

In this fast-paced set-up each company will have a table to display information and have two representatives.  Each rep will be able to meet half the businesses in attendance, meaning your company will make 75 – 100 contacts in less than two hours.
