To keep the interests of businesses at the forefront of the healthcare reform discussion, the Chamber has formed a series of recommendations based on its analysis of H.R. 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, and the
Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, & Pension (HELP) proposals.
While we agree with some of the concepts in both bills, such as promoting wellness and prevention in the workplace, establishing performance measures, and creation of an insurance exchange for small employers and consumers, the Chamber
is opposed to the public plan (option) provision in H.R. 3200.
