This week, more than 80 Chamber members, elected officials and business leaders are in Washington, D.C., for the annual “One Region, One Voice” advocacy trip.  We are meeting with high-level federal officials to help garner support for business-friendly legislation in the San Diego region.

Yesterday, we participated in a White House meeting on healthcare reform, met at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Field Operations Thomas Winkowski, and visited the Pentagon to meet with Acting Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roger Natsuhara and Defense for Military Community and Family Policy Art Myers.  We also visited the Canadian and Mexican Embassies for discussions on border best practices. Business Exchange- October 21

In this fast-paced set-up each company will have a table to display information and have two representatives.  Each rep will be able to meet half the businesses in attendance, meaning your company will make 75 – 100 contacts in less than two hours.

 

Who do You Trust?

One of the biggest problems we are seeing in the security industry is something we call “Rogue Antivirus”. Rogue antivirus products scare and annoy users into paying for a product that does little or nothing. The common scenario is that you go to a web page and it looks like you’re your computer is being scanned. The web page, which may look like a real program” will tell you that your computer is infected, when it really is not infected. Read more..
