Chamber Members Provide Firestorm Relief

It's often said that in the case of a natural disaster, the true character of a community is exposed.   During San Diego's recent firestorm, the people and businesses of this region proved to be selfless, giving, empathetic and resilient.

Since the wildfires’ first impact, hundreds of local and multinational businesses have pitched in to help those displaced by the fires.  The Chamber is proud of it's many members who have given substantial time, funding, and resources to those affected by the wildfires, and would like to thank all businesses, emergency workers, firefighters, and volunteers who have helped out during this time of need.  Their generosity has not gone unnoticed.

The Mexico Business Centerinaugurates "Project Smart Border 2010" at the "Seventh Annual International Tribute Awards Gala" on Wednesday, December 5.

"Project Smart Border 2010" is the major initiative of the Mexico Business Center for 2008. Its expressed goal is reduce the border waits that have such a crippling effect on the San Diego and Tijuana economies to an average of 15 minutes by 2010.
