DIGABLE CAUSE
On Tuesday, Feb. 9, and again on Feb. 16, The Restaurant at The Pearl (1410 Rosecrans St., Point Loma) is doing a food-and-fun thing with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity. It's called Beer & Burger Comedy Showcase and
for those of you who fear live stand-up like some people fear live clowns, don't worry: It's a movie. On Feb. 9, Dave Chapelle's For What it's Worth plays on the poolside screen and on Feb. 16, it's Richard Pryor's Live in
Concert. Both films screen at 8 p.m.

DIGABLE ART
If you've not ventured slightly south of the border to Casa del Tunel: Art Center, do it this weekend. Opening Saturday, Feb. 6, is Performing Public Space, an exhibit about art that springs from progressive-minded
"non-art" political, social and environmental movements. The fact that the fantastic Fallen Fruit collective is part of this exhibit is reason enough to check it out. Other participants include L.A. Urban Rangers, Lauren Bon, Ari Kletsky,
Paul Pescador, Jane Tsong and Nancy Popp. La Casa del Túnel is located at Calle Chapo Márquez 133, Colonia Federal in Tijuana, within walking distance of those spinning gates (Google map it, will ya?). It's a pretty exciting exhibit---one
we wish would come to San Diego---and it's on display through March 21.
