These are the things we dig...

DIGABLE LOGO

If you see Hitachino beer offered in a bar, ask the bartender to 1) be careful popping the cap and 2) give it to you. Don't throw it in the trash. The Japanese beer with the world's cutest logo is starting to appear in more San Diego bars. Neighborhood and Hamilton's often serve bottles of it and, this week, Blind Lady Ale House tapped a keg of the super tasty Nest White Ale (we're guessing it'll be gone by the time you get this, but maybe not). We're just hoping folks don't start carrying it on tap too much, because we'll miss out on all those cute bottle caps.

DIGABLE DEAL

Some of our favorite Tuesday dinner deals are still going on: Starlite's "Fat Tuesday" happens from 5 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday (natch), when the restaurant puts together a three-course menu for only $20 (hint: happy hour deals start at 5 p.m.). And, over in Point Loma, the Restaurant @ The Pearl does Taco Tuesday each week, when two tacos and a margarita are only $10. www.starlitesandiego.com and www.thepearlsd.com.

DIGABLE ART

Rarely do San Diegans get the chance to jet down to San Ysidro on a whim, but if you happen to find yourself down south, make sure to check out Stencil Me This at The Front at Casa Familiar (147 W. San Ysidro Blvd.). The show features works by edgy, graffiti-inspired local artists N.O.M.A.D., PhatRootz, Yeska Kat, and Grand Larsen, as well as bike-enthusiast and activist Acamonchi, whose recent write-up in Juxtapoz magazine speaks highly of his underground credibility. The opening reception is at 6 p.m. Friday, July 3.

DIGABLE CAUSE

The San Diego Pride Festival lost a bunch of sponsors this year due to the economy, but the Ruby Room (1271 University Ave., Hillcrest) is coming out (no pun intended) to help by hosting a beer and cheese pairing on Wednesday, July 8. For $10, tasters will be treated to a selection of Ballast Point micro brews and some lovely portions from Taste Artisan Cheese and Gourmet Shop. Does a porter go with blue cheese? An ale with asiago? Bonus, all proceeds go straight to San Diego Pride. Starts at 8 p.m.
