Goal: $300,000 by 2009 |
|
We can do it – with your help.
Our goal is to raise $300,000 by year's end to complete construction of our sustainable health clinic. Clínica Verde will provide a medical home for 4,000 children and 1,500 high-risk pregnancies per year. Your support will help us to
change lives by bringing health and hope to families in need.
Some of our most valued supporters are those who simply share our story and passion with others. So ... share the love! Pass this newsletter on to your friends and family and help us meet our goal.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT: Marilyn Asmuth |
 |
|
Marilyn Asmuth is just one of Clínica Verde's great supporters. We're so grateful for the contribution of Marilyn and her husband Paul, who coached the U.S. Olympic open water swimmers last summer in Beijing! Here, Marilyn shares why she
chose to give to Clínica Verde.
"Clínica Verde appeals to me because it provides hope and the possibility of health to a community in extreme need. This vision is buoyed by a foundation of sustainability that is sensitive to the realities of the community it serves.
Crafting a design for a clinic that can be mindfully and efficiently replicated in other places is brilliant stewardship.
"While it is true there are an abundance of worthy causes to support, to share in the early developmental side of Clínica Verde is high honor indeed."

Clínica Verde in the News
September was a busy month. We had a cocktail party hosted by CV supporter Joan Smith in her beautiful home overlooking the Napa Valley. Our project manager in Nicaragua, Johny Siman, met with 6 different architects as well as engineering
teams to review their proposals and portfolios, and continued to prepare the land for construction. Meanwhile, we're busy getting our story out while gearing up for our second annual meeting of the board in Managua in November. We were
also in the news.
International Herald Tribune
The International Herald Tribune featured an interview with Clínica Verde board member Kenneth B. Weeman in an article by Holly Hubbard Preston entitled,
"The New Face of Private Philanthropy."
St. Helena Star
And the St. Helena Star published a story by David Stoneberg about our project on their front page. If you didn't get a chance to see it, you can
read it here.
Don't forget: Clark~Claudon has chosen Clínica Verde as one of three charitable outreach programs to benefit from their Cabernet to Care Movement. 50% of proceeds from your purchase of their 2004 Estate Cabernet will be donated to
our project when you mention our name.
