Paine Field will become the new home for Korry Electronics
, an avionics and controls division of Esterline Technologies. Korry will bring more than 600 jobs to the county when it opens its new facility in early 2009. Its presence will further enhance the county's growing reputation as a
leader in aeronautical design and manufacturing expertise.

The Unemployment rate
dropped to 4.3%. This is one-tenth of a percentage point lower than February's rate of 4.4%. The corresponding (not seasonally adjusted) rate for the state was 5.3% in March. Sectors that added jobs included Health Services (+400) and
Aerospace (+200).
