Big D

- Besides the usual suspects that I hang out with, I'm going to guess there's plenty of fans out there of Big D...or hopefully future ones that will be after this edition. Big D delivers witty, raw, and sing-to songs that are accompanied by harmonica, guitar, banjos, background singers...you name it. I like to think he's a special unique blend of artists such as Bob Dylan and Jason Mraz with a good dose of Adam Sandler, Joe Rogan, and Jimmy Fallon comedian humor induced music. Once you get to know the songs, you won't be able to stop singing all the words. Definitely worth the listen.

Jane Lui

I'm a sucker for plenty of female singer/songwriters but Jane has always been in my top list of female singers of all time. Very few singers give me chills when they sing and she seems to always have one or two songs that will do that to me. She's a master on piano and she's just one of the coolest singer/songwriters you'll run into, always a treat running into her, even if it is few and far between. But the voice, the voice...when you hear her voice you just want to shut your eyes and take all of the soft and sexy sounds in. Her CD deserves a place in your CD change or iTunes under the Playlist Relax/Entertain/Drink Wine. If you can tell me what group or duo she was successful in before her own solo success, I will present to you a small gift of her music.

You can't help but love Jane and her music...see her all over San Diego this month.

You can listen to her at janeshands.com, myspace.com/janeshands and the best place to get her CD at cdbaby.com/cd/janelui

Brimstone Flowers

- Their CDBaby.com Bio doesn't lie. There's a lot going on in each Brimstone song. It's pleasantly textured for the true music lover. What Alice in Chains might sound today with Lance still around. David, the singer, puts his vocals right out there for everyone to chew on. You'll even hear a little bit of Pinbackesque i n some of their sound. Honestly, you're going to hear a little bit of a lot of music you can relate it to but this is Brimstone's sound.

I will be listening to this alllll week....it's that good.

You know the drill, but this time you should actually click on these links because Brimstone Flowers is one to remember.

We have them at CDBaby.com, myspace.com/brimstoneflowersmusic and their own site at brimstoneflowers.com

A must listen!

Luckie Pierre Record Label has some amazing sounding music...you'll find something here for you.
