In three years of True Sake Newsletters I have only sent out two "Non- Newsletter" emails to my most excellent readers. I do not spam or advertise! But, I will let you know about sake events that will not only be fun, but also a great way to taste a lot of sake in a very cool format.

On Wednesday May 9th at Ft. Mason, 25 breweries from Japan will pour roughly 60 sakes for you to taste and explore. It is a perfect opportunity in a very elegant space to partake in a lot of sake with the makers standing right in front of you. The price is absolutely right - $45 for advance sales and $50 (cash only) at the door on the day of the event.

There will be two tastings on the 9th. One is for "the industry" as in sommeliers, restaurant people, wine makers, bar, and lounge folks from 1-4PM (Please bring a business card). The evening tasting is the highlight of the event, and will take place from 5-8PM.

These breweries are really impressive, and I will not name names but at least three of these kura have "elite status" in Japan.
